Start with the operational problem
Disconnected spreadsheets, repeated data entry and scattered customer conversations can make a growing business harder to manage. We begin by mapping the workflow, users and information involved, then define the smallest useful system to solve the actual problem.
What we can build
Possible project scope is agreed around your workflow, users and priorities:
- Stock and vehicle records: inventory, availability and the details your team needs for each vehicle.
- Vehicle costs and invoices: per-vehicle records, invoicing and agreed currency requirements.
- Dashboards and connected workflows: reporting, booking workflows and compatible CRM connections.
These are possible functions, not a standard package. We agree essential features and acceptance checks before development.
Software and AI are different decisions
A reliable form or rule-based workflow may solve a task without AI. Where AI is useful, we define its information sources, limits and human handoff. The goal is a system your team can use confidently, with clear responsibility for important decisions.
Custom software, an existing platform or a focused integration?
The right choice depends on the gap in your current workflow. If an existing product already does what you need, a new custom system may not be necessary. If staff repeatedly copy stock, costs or enquiry details between tools, a focused integration or dashboard may be the better first project.
A wider dealer management system needs a separate brief covering users, departments, permissions, data migration and support. We agree which functions are included before development; a stock dashboard should not be presented as a complete accounting or dealer management platform.
Can it connect to our website or CRM?
Potentially. Compatibility depends on the platform's access, APIs and permitted use. We review these before promising automatic stock updates or a CRM connection. Where an integration is not available, we agree a practical alternative and who maintains the records.
What needs to be decided before a build?
Identify the users, the records they need and the actions they should be allowed to take. The scope should also cover data migration, hosting, backups, maintenance, support responsibilities, milestones and acceptance checks. Start the discussion with a sample workflow using fictional or appropriately anonymized data.
